Content Rules
Last updated October 19, 2026
Keep your profile respectful and appropriate for the people who see it.
These rules apply to profile photos, including Live Photo covers and motion, display names, and bew! IDs. They supplement our Terms of Use.
No sexual exploitation or explicit sexual content
Do not use pornography, explicit sexual activity, sexual exploitation, or sexual content involving children. Do not use names or IDs that promote or identify sexual exploitation or explicit sexual content.
No serious threats or graphic violence
Do not threaten people or their families, encourage violence against people or groups, or show graphic depictions of severe injury, abuse or gore.
No targeted hate or harassment
Do not use targeted slurs, degrading abuse, or content intended to intimidate or harass another person or group. Names and IDs must not contain clear profanity or abusive expressions.
Do not impersonate others
Do not pretend to be another person, organization or bew! staff. Some names and IDs that suggest official bew! accounts are reserved for official use.
Use content you have the right to share
Do not use unlawful content, violate another person’s rights, or share someone’s private information without permission. Choose photos you have the right to use and respect the people shown in them.
Everyday expression is welcome
Ordinary names, religious or group identities, and educational or medical references are not prohibited just because they relate to a sensitive topic. Normal family photos, swimwear and ordinary affection are not prohibited merely for containing those elements. Context matters.
If content breaks these rules
Profile content that breaks these rules may be refused or removed, and you may be asked to choose a different photo, name or bew! ID. Serious or repeated misuse may lead to account restrictions under our Terms of Use.
Automated checks can help enforce these rules; the rules also apply to violations that are not automatically detected. If an update is refused, choose different content. If the service reports a technical problem, try again later.
Report a concern
Use Report in the app or contact [email protected] if you see profile content that may break these rules. For information about data handling, read our Privacy Policy.
